A Member-in-Training or International Member-in-Training is a resident or someone who has not yet completed ophthalmology training.
If you get a bill as a practicing member, it is because our records show that you have completed your training. If you are enrolled in another full-time ophthalmology training program, you need to submit a verification letter to maintain your Member-in-Training status. The letter will need to be on your institution letterhead and include your program director’s signature, name of the program you are enrolled in, and the start and anticipated completion date of the program.
