  • Write or Edit an EyeWiki Article

Description: EyeWiki is the Academy’s public online eye encyclopedia, written by ophthalmologists. The wiki contains more than 1,000 clinical articles covering the spectrum of eye disease. Any qualified ophthalmologist or ophthalmologist in training is invited to contribute content to EyeWiki, either by writing new content or editing existing articles.

Expectations: Content submitted must be your own or provided with permission and must not have been published elsewhere. You agree to assign copyright to the Academy. Authors must be a practicing ophthalmologist or an ophthalmologist in training; medical students may partner with an ophthalmologist mentor to contribute to EyeWiki.

Instructions: Follow the instructions on the Getting Started page to create an account, find a topic to write about, and start writing.

Deadlines: Submission is at your discretion. After a new article is completed or an existing article is edited, the EyeWiki section editor will review and have the article peer reviewed within 90 days.
