Write an Article for Scope

Description: Scope is the Academy's quarterly online newsletter distributed to senior ophthalmologists (Academy members age 60 and up).  All articles also are published on AAO.org and available in the quarterly issue as a PDF download.

Expectations: Express your interest in writing an article along with your suggested topic to scope@aao.org, attention Alfredo Sadun, MD, PhD, Scope Editor.

Time commitment: If your article topic is approved, expect a time commitment of three to six hours, including edits and reviews.

Instructions: Scope covers topics such as practice transitions, interesting subjects, hobbies, physician wellness, ophthalmic history, Academy Foundation efforts, book reviews as well as spotlights on renowned ophthalmologists.

Deadlines: Articles deadlines are due two months prior to the quarterly publication of each edition of Scope.
