2011–2012 Edition of Leading Clinical Resource Now Available for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch
SAN FRANCISCO – For the first time, the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Basic and Clinical Science Course BCSC is available for purchase in the iBook format. Now ophthalmologists and ophthalmology residents can access the BCSC where ever they like using their iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch–no Internet connection is necessary after the BCSC has been downloaded. Each of the BCSC's 13 sections can be purchased individually through Apple's iBookstore application or iTunes.
The BCSC is the gold standard reference for practicing ophthalmologists and residents. This evidence-based, clinically validated compendium is reviewed and updated annually by a faculty comprised of more than 80 leading ophthalmologists. The BCSC covers everything from basic anatomy, optics and pathology to specialized topics such as retinal diseases, glaucoma and cataract. Thousands of photos and illustrations are included. Each section includes self-assessment study questions and answers.
