Additional Fees For Monovision IOL
Question: For patients choosing monovision as part of cataract surgery, extra calculation is necessary. Are we able to bill the patient for this service?
Answer:
Time spent for patients to determine whether they can adapt to monovision or blended vision is not separately billable to the patient. Patients only have out-of-pocket expenses when they select a premium lens option or correction of their natural astigmatism.
