Question: Is there a reportable CPT code when our physician completes additional paperwork for the patient, such as the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)?
Answer: CPT 99080 — “Special reports such as insurance forms, more than the information conveyed in the usual medical communications or standard reporting form.” However, most payers do not cover this CPT code.
