  • Are You Due to Revalidate with Medicare?

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all physicians to revalidate their enrollment regularly, according to the Affordable Care Act. Medicare Administrative Contractors will mail or email notification to physicians up to three months before the deadline. However, CMS also lists those who are due to revalidate within six months on the CMS website. Physicians are encouraged to check this site to avoid any delay. If you’re not listed on the site, no further action is necessary. If you are listed, submit your application using the PECOS system. If you fail to revalidate in the required timeframe, payments will be withheld and no payment will be made during the deactivation period.
