Billing Medicaid Patients
Question: Can we bill patients who have Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Medicaid?
Answer: Patients with QMB have met the requirements and therefore never cover any out-of-pocket expenses. Medicaid pays the Medicare premium. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services closely monitor these patients to assure practices do not balance bill them for services.
