Billing Medicare for Surgery in an Ambulatory Surgery Center
If our patient is in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) I just want to confirm that we cannot bill for surgery in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) due to consolidated billing.
If the patient has Medicare Part B and is currently residing in a SNF, the physician claim would be paid. The ASC claim, however, would be subjective to consolidated billing.
