Billing OCT and Visual Field Same Day
Question: One of my physicians heard we no longer can submit glaucoma OCTs and visual fields on the same day. Is this true?
Answer: Correct Coding Initiative edits do not currently include any bundling edits with fields and scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging. That said, some payment policies state that they do not expect to see physicians frequently perform these two tests the same day.
