Chalazions on multiple lids
Question: We billed CPT 67800 -E1 and 67800 -E2 on two different lines and our claim was denied. Can you please advise me as to the correct way to bill this claim?
Answer: CPT code 67800 Excision of chalazion; single is incorrect for multiple chalazia. Instead, bill CPT code 67805 Excision of chalazion; multiple, different lids.
