CMS Moving IACS Accounts to New EIDM System, Important Resource for PQRS Reports
CMS is transitioning all Individuals Authorized Access to the CMS Computer Services accounts to the Enterprise Identity Management System by July 13. The agency said current IACS users should be able to log in to the new system with their old credentials. New users will be able to register with EIDM starting July 13. Practices will need EIDM access to view first-quarter reports on claims-based submissions for the Physician Quality Reporting System. CMS will release the reports later this summer. They provide an important way to verify that you are on track to meet PQRS requirements and avoid penalties.
Providers who do not succesfully report for PQRS in 2015 will be subject to multiple 2017 penalties -- a penalty for reporting PQRS successfully and an automatic value-based modifier penalty.
