Can you tell us if the usage of Trypan blue qualifies for 66982 or not?

    Answer:

Who is the payer? Some, but not all Medicare administrative contractors (MACs) outline that the use of Trypan blue with a mature cataract diagnosis qualifies the cataract surgery as complex (CPT 66982). Private payers can have their own unique policies.
