CPT Code for Eyelash Removal in Conjunctiva
Question: The physician removed an eyelash that was embedded in the conjunctiva and said to bill the procedure as a foreign body removal. Is this correct?
Answer: An eyelash is not considered a foreign body. Submit the appropriate level of E&M or Eye visit code only.
