CPT Code for Epithelial Debridement
Question: Our physician is looking for a CPT code for epithelial debridement of lid margin. This may be used for lid scrubs?
Answer: If it is a lid scrub, there is no separate code. This is part of the exam performed and not separately billable. If it is sent to pathology, consider billing it as CPT code 67810 shave biopsy. Otherwise it may be an unlisted code.
