    Question: We have a patient who complains of headaches; however, the physician is not classifying it as a migraine based on examination.  What ICD-10 code should we use?

    Answer: R51 is used for headache. Beginning October 1, 2021 there are two new codes available:

    R51.0 Headache with orthostatic component, not elsewhere classified
    R51.9 Headache, unspecified
