ICD-10 Code for TORCH
Question: I often get called to the NICU to rule out TORCH infections. What is the best (and hopefully reimbursable) ICD-10 code to use for this?
Answer: Without any signs or symptoms, consider using P00.2 Newborn (suspected to be) affected by maternal infectious and parasitic diseases. Otherwise code the signs or symptoms, such as cataract, chorioretinitis, etc.
