    Question: In treating a patient with rubeosis, is there a procedure code for iris angiography?

    Answer: The appropriate code would be 92235, Fluorescein angiography with interpretation and report, unilateral or bilateral. The Academy’s Coding Coach provides the definition as “Test used for evaluating retinal, choroidal and iris blood vessels, as well as any eye problems affecting them.” H21.1X_ -Rubeosis iridis may be covered but you should verify with each individual payer.
