Submitting Visual Field and Glaucoma OCT Same Day
Question: Can we submit a visual field and glaucoma OCT on the same day?
Answer: Yes, depending on the payer. Commercial plans may have different guidelines than Medicare Part B. Medicare does not have CCI edits for these two tests, however payers do not expect to see them consistently submitted the same day frequently. See if your Medicare administrative contractor has a Local Coverage Determination policy for these tests; if so follow their guidelines.
