Usage of Eye Visit Codes and Telemedicine
Question: When billing for telemedicine visits, is it allowable to use Eye visit codes or just limit to E/M codes?
Answer: Effective April 30, CMS added the Eye visit codes to the list of covered exams during the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE). Documentation requirements remain the same.
