This course provides tangible communication skills for residents to use with patients when having difficult conversations and breaking bad news. Residents completing this course will learn to incorporate the SPIKES protocol in conversations, build knowledge around visual rehabilitation services, and construct strategies specifically for discussing surgical complications.
