New: Vaccination Requirement
The Academy is committed to your safety at AAO 2021. Therefore, our Board of Trustees has determined that proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for all registrants attending the meeting in person in New Orleans.

Mentoring in Ophthalmology
It is a known fact that behind every successful professional is a team of mentors or a board of trustees. This symposium will compare the roles of mentoring, coaching, advising and sponsoring. Ophthalmology has always depended on the products of mentoring and especially having diversity among mentors and mentees. We will dive deeper into best practices for successful relationships and the entity of reverse mentoring to benefit mentors of all career stages.
