    In this presentation, Dr. Jost B. Jonas covers the clinical assessment of the optic nerve head (ONH), including the following:

    • size and shape of the neuroretinal rim
    • optic cup
    • parapapillary alpha, beta, gamma, and delta zones
    • peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer thickness
    • retinal vessel diameters and disc hemorrhages
    • histologic ONH anatomy as basis for clinical-histological correlations
    • ophthalmodynamometric examinations of the central retinal artery and vein
    Recent advancements in the assessment of highly myopic ONH in eyes with glaucoma are also presented.
