    In this discussion from the Academy’s Committee on Aging, Drs. Andrew Lee and Prem Subramanian discuss postoperative visual loss in both ocular and nonocular (cardiac and lumbar spine) surgery, including the risk factors such as anemia, duration, hypotension, and prone positioning. Ocular surgical visual loss including nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy is also discussed.
