Is it normal to still have some swelling and redness after taking antibiotics for cellulitis?

Answer:
Perhaps a residual chalazion is now evident as the preseptal cellulitis has resolved. This may shrink with time and will resolve faster with warm compresses and gentle massage. Sometimes these require steroid antibiotic drops or ointment, steroid injection, or incision and drainage.
Please discuss your individual situation with your ophthalmologist who can suggest the best treatment if needed.
