Federal Watchdog to Investigate Step Therapy in Medicare Advantage Plans, at Academy’s Urging

The Academy met with the HHS Office of Inspector to continue pressing our concerns about step therapy. The meeting follows the OIG’s September 15 announcement that it will review how Medicare Advantage plans use prior authorization and step therapy for Part B drugs, a review the Academy urged.
