Uveitis affects all ages, threatens vision, and can herald a devastating systemic condition or masquerade cancer. This course from AAO 2022 focuses on the triage and initial management of not-to-be-missed entities. The instructors cover 5 main areas: anterior uveitis, masquerade syndromes, pediatric uveitis, medication-induced uveitis, and when to refer optic disc edema. A variety of cases are discussed, including the approach, ancillary testing, and treatment plan. Presentations cover infectious and noninfectious entities in both pediatric and adult patients. At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to identify not-to-be-missed conditions and their initial management.
