Is it possible to not have the of rounded eyelid after Blepharoplasty?
NOV 26, 2013
Question:
I have noticed that many patients who have had blepharoplasty performed on their upper eyelids have an abnormally round shape to their eyes after their eyes have healed from the surgery. Is there a way that this can be performed without it resulting in this strangely round shape?
Answer:
Yes. Blepharoplasty surgery can be performed so that the natural eyelid shape of the individual is maintained. Eye shape may appear altered if too much fat, muscle or skin is removed in the course of the surgery. Evaluation and treatment with an experienced ophthalmologist/oculoplastic surgeon is recommended to provide a surgical outcome that meets your aesthetic requirements.
