Is my injured pupil repairable?
MAY 09, 2019
Question:
I have a dilated pupil after being hit in the eye by a ball. Can the dilated pupil be cured by a surgery?
Answer:
There are surgeries that could repair a dilated pupil, but they are generally considered too high risk to the health of the eye. You may wish to consider wearing a cosmetic contact lens to mask the dilation. There are also drops that can temporarily decrease the size of your pupil. Please discuss your options with your ophthalmologist.
