Use the online Program Search for up-to-the-minute information about courses, including abstracts. Click on the blue "Search AAO 2014 Events" button to look up information by presenter/author, keyword, topic, event type, event number or notes/special interest.

2014 Policy Changes

  • Many labs have a recommended prerequisite lecture (no longer required).
  • Overall Skills Transfer Lab ticket prices have been reduced.
  • Residents receive a 50% discount from published price.


  • Skills Transfer labs are ticketed events that must be purchased separately. They are not included in the Academy Plus course pass.
  • NEW! Lecture prerequisites are recommended, NOT required.
  • Skills Transfer lectures are included in the Academy Plus course pass.
  • Skills Transfer lab fees increase onsite.
  • Attendance is limited to physicians only, except where noted in the course description. (The term physician refers to the definition in the Federal Register: "those individuals licensed to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathy.")
  • Skills Transfer courses are intended to provide instruction leading to new knowledge and/or skills. The Academy does not certify competence upon completion of Academy courses. Academy courses are not intended to serve as a basis for requesting new or expanded privileges.
