New Light Adjustable IOL Coding and Billing
Can you offer any insight on the most appropriate way to bill the light adjustable IOL, RxSight? Would V2787 be an appropriate code since this seems to function most like a toric lens?
The RxSight is on CMS’ AC IOL lens list
CMS Recognized Presbyopia-Correcting (PC) IOLs and Astigmatism-Correcting (AC) IOLs.
The correct V code is V2787. You would use this along with the appropriate cataract removal and lens insertion CPT code. This is considered a premium lens and the additional costs are not covered by Medicare.
