A 65-year-old patient presented with blurring of vision in both eye that began 10 years previously. On examination, the right eye measured counting fingers at 10 feet and the left eye measured counting fingers at 13 feet. The fundus showed radially arranged large drusen in the macular and peripapillary areas, with atrophic patches at the foveae. Figures A and B show large drusen in the macular and peripapillary areas in the right eye. Figure C is a SD-OCT of the right eye, showing loss of outer retina in the foveal region and significant other geographic atrophy, with drusen in a radial fashion surrounding it. Figures D and E show drusen in the left eye. Figure F is a SD-OCT of left eye nasal to the disc, showing drusen in the peripapillary area.
