Are there any exercises to speed up stroke recovery?

Question:
I was diagnosed with a stroke, or more precisely, a third cranial nerve palsy (oculomotor nerve palsy) of the right eye. It left me with double vision in my right eye and a balance problem. My ophthalmologist said the double vision would eventually correct itself, but are there any exercises to speed up recovery?
Answer:
Recovery will take some time. In some cases, there are options that can help improve function while the nerve is recovering. Talk to your ophthalmologist about prism for double vision and possibly physical therapy to help improve balance and avoid falls.
