Can my shrunken eye be made bigger?

Question:
Can my shrunken eye be made bigger? I have a pre-phthisis shrunken eye and I realize that vision cannot be restored, but I just want it to be made the same size as my other eye. I want to keep my real eye, despite it being blind. Can something be injected into my eye at intervals until it is back to its normal size?
Answer:
We do not currently perform procedures to re-inflate a shrunken eye. A phthsical eye (a shrunken, non-functioning eye) is very weak and further manipulation might lead to increased pain and risk of infection. You could wear a prosthetic such as a scleral shell over your eye. This would allow you to retain your globe, its movement as well as its appearance.
