    Getting chemicals or tap water in the eye can aggravate healing of a corneal ulcer. Therefore, make sure you do not get tap water in your eyes if you have a corneal ulcer. Firmly close your eyes and avoid letting water hit your face in the shower. If you can go to a salon where they can tilt your head back to protect anything from getting in your eyes, then it may be a good alternative. You can resume normal showers after the ulcer is healed.
