Virtual Meeting Details
How to Log In
You will need your Academy username and password.
Find log in help and review computer tips. You can also review the features of the AAO 2020 Virtual platform with our User Guide (PDF 1.5MB).
The Virtual Meeting Guide, aao.org/2020guide is a streamlined version of the meeting guide. You will not be able to save your favorite sessions.
When you log into the virtual meeting platform you will find the full Virtual Meeting Guide where you will be able to build a calendar.
In the Virtual Meeting Guide you can find all sessions that were live broadcast designated with a V for Virtual Meeting Live Broadcast. Many sessions that are labeled V for Virtual Meeting Live Broadcast also have a REC symbol. This means that the session was recorded and is available on demand. Sessions without the REC symbol were not recorded.

Virtual Meeting Access for Academy Members
The Academy is committed to delivering the critical scientific and clinical information that you expect from the most important ophthalmology meeting of the year. In the past, members have been able to attend the in-person annual meeting event for free, with an option to purchase access to additional in-depth content such as Subspecialty Day meetings, instruction courses and skills transfer labs. In the virtual meeting platform, however, it is not possible to hide or limit content in any way. We understand that the virtual meeting represents a major shift in how the Academy delivers educational content, and how Academy members can access it.
In consultation with our physician leadership, the Academy has chosen to open all areas of the meeting to members for one low price of $425. Academy Members in Training only pay $150. You will have access to double the amount of educational content and CME credits than would typically be available during our in-person annual meeting. Plus, you can revisit this content on the virtual meeting platform until Feb. 15, 2021. After that date, program content will be made available to view online. AAO 2020 Virtual on-demand content expires on Oct. 15, 2021. All of this, for less than the price of a single Subspecialty Day meeting registration.
Each year, during the American Academy of Ophthalmology's annual meeting, certain additional meetings and events take place. See our 2020 Events list.
