How do I soothe eyes after allergic reaction to eyelash extensions?
MAR 25, 2020
Question:
I recently got eyelash extensions and I think I was allergic to the glue. My eyes are raw and red and have a yellow mucus-like substance all in them which causes my eyes to be crusted shut in the mornings. I was rubbing my eyes a lot because of the itching and am not able to see because of the cloudy-like substance covering my cornea. Now my eyelids are raw and bumpy. What can I put on them?
Answer:
Please make sure you have removed the eyelashes and glue. You can ask your ophthalmologist to prescribe an antibiotic ointment. If this is not available to you, clean your eyelashes with no tear shampoo and apply a light bland ointment, such as Polysporin.
