Can I wear multifocal contacts to replace my reading glasses?

Question:
I had IOLs put in and need glasses for reading now. Can I wear multifocal contacts to replace them?
Answer:
Yes you can. However, be aware that if your distance vision is excellent without glasses, a multifocal contact may slightly blur that vision. The tradeoff is that you will able to read. If there is a correction at distance now then the multifocal can correct both the distance and reading.
