27:16
This video is part of a series of lectures based on the Academy’s Basic Ophthalmology textbook, an ideal complement to the medical student curriculum. In this video, Dr. Pavlina Kemp describes how to use pharmacologic agents to facilitate an eye examination. She also discusses the importance of being aware of the potential complications of eyedrops and other drugs and being able to recognize these complications. Dr. Kemp reviews the technique of applying drugs to the conjunctival fornix, the ocular effects and complications of topical ocular drugs used for diagnosis and therapy, the systemic side effects of glaucoma medications, and the ocular side effects of systemic medications.
