Is the use of modifier -JZ just for Medicare or for all insurance companies?
Answer:Medicare had a mandatory implementation date of July 1. Some commercial payers have updated their policies to require -JZ modifier. However, some payers take a longer period to implement CMS changes. Others may have delayed implementation. Monitor each unique payer policy.
