    Even More YO Events

You can also use AAO 2022 to learn about real-world aspects of practicing medicine, such as getting paid, choosing the right type of practice setting, working internationally, and staying passionate about your profession. YO-specific content includes:

    • Welcome to the Real World of Ophthalmology: Reality 101 for Residents and Fellows (Saturday, Oct. 1, 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.). Join an interactive YO panel discussion around practice management pearls and how active participation in organized medicine can be a unique benefit for your career.
    • Flipping the Lens: The Host Experience (LL19) (Sunday, Oct. 2, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.). Head over to the Learning Lounge (Hall A, Booth 150) and listen to experts from India and Africa discuss Global Ophthalmology.
    • Q&A With Practice Management Experts - Answers to Questions You Didn’t Even Know You Should Ask (Monday, Oct. 3, 10 to 11 a.m.). This Learning Lounge session will cover all the tips you need to know about starting a practice.
