  • Is it safe to fly when you have keratitis diagnosed?

    Question:

Is it safe to fly when you have keratitis diagnosed?

    Answer:

There is no danger to flying with keratitis. A common cause of keratitis is eye dryness and airline cabins are notoriously dry. So go ahead and fly but carry with you a supply of eye lubricants and drops to deal with the cabin atmosphere. If the keratitis is infectious in origin (your ophthalmologist can help you with this) then be sure treatment is ongoing.
