  • How do I prevent my contact lens from moving up under my top eyelid?

    Question:

How do I prevent my contact lens from moving up under my top eyelid?

    Answer:

Properly fitted lenses remain stabilized centrally over the cornea by forces of suction. If your lens is constantly dislocating, then either you are moving the lens by rubbing your eyes, or the lens is fitting too flat on the cornea. A flatter lens reduces suction, causing the lens to migrate more easily from the center of the eye. Schedule a visit with your prescribing eye care professional who can investigate the problem in person. A steeper lens may help fix this problem.
