I have noticed that after having three kids and reading my cell phone at night while breastfeeding that my eye sight has deteriorated. I now need reading glasses. Is there a link between reading my iPhone at night over several years and my decreased eyesight? I am 44 years old and prior to my night time iPhone use, I had excellent vision.
It is likely that your decrease in vision is related to being a bit older and losing some of your natural accommodative (focusing) capacity. Try using a pair of readers at night time and having a good light source. Of course, a complete eye examination by an ophthalmologist to rule out glaucoma and other issues that can affect your sight as you age is important.
