  • Why Is My Daughter's Vision Going Dark Intermittently?

    Question:

My daughter, 15, just told us her vision goes dark two to three times per day for as long as 12 seconds, then vision comes back and she says she is dizzy. What can be the cause?

    Answer:

This is unusual and requires a complete medical eye examination by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Medications, blood pressure changes or a myriad of other factors can be the cause. Please have her examined by an ophthalmologist immediately.
