What is the Physician Well-being Index?
The Physician Well-being Index is an online assessment tool intended to help ophthalmologists chart a path to personal wellness and professional fulfillment. When you take the assessment, you will have access to:
- Instant feedback on your well-being Index score compared to other physicians
- Resources to help you improve well-being and professional satisfaction
- A dashboard to help you track your progress
The Physician Well-being Index assessment is anonymous and confidential. Your personalized data will not be shared with the Academy or any other individuals or companies. Deidentified aggregate data will be used to help the Academy ascertain the state of well-being among the ophthalmologist community and assess the prevalence and causes of physician burnout across the career span. It will assist the Academy in creating a strategic plan to help members cultivate well-being and resilience.
