Rebilling Telehealth Codes
Question: I submitted G2012 as Medicare had a low reimbursement for the telephone exams, however now that they’ve increased rates, should we submit a corrected claim?
Answer: If you were reimbursed for the CPT code submitted, it’s best not to submit a corrected claim. This would take staff time as you would not only need to notify the payer, but the patient as well.
