CPT Code for Removing an iStent
Question: If the ophthalmologist needs to remove an iStent outside of the global period, how should we submit this?
Answer: For the removal of the original stent, submit either CPT code 65920 Removal of implanted material, anterior segment of eye or 67121 Removal of implanted material, posterior segment; intraocular depending on where it was placed.
