Precollection of Payment
Question: We are considering sending an email to patients requesting their co-payment prior to their appointment to collect ahead of time. Is this allowed?
Answer: To minimize time in the office, many practices are collecting payment by credit card over the phone. While some patients may be uncomfortable providing their information online, so be sure that you are using a secured portal.
