Scleral Patch Graft CPT Code
One of our physicians recently performed an enucleation with orbital implant placement and temporary suture tarsorrhaphy (CPT codes 65105 and 67875). Additionally, a Tutoplast scleral patch graft was placed. Can we bill for the scleral patch graft? If so, what is the appropriate CPT code?
Answer:
You can report CPT code 67255 for the Tutoplast scleral patch graft. These three CPT codes (65105, 67875 and 67255) are not bundled by NCCI edits and can be billed together. When billing, report the enucleation code (65105) as the primary procedure because it has the highest RVU.
